Studio One Consulting Limited

Studio One was set up in 2012 during the turmoil of the last recession. The company combines a few passions set around a strong desire to contribute to the built environment through the design of building structures, their surroundings, and civil engineering projects, whilst maintaining a strong focus on environmental responsibility.

Jason Pentreath

My love of building started as a young child and I completed my first brick built house in my parent’s garden aged eleven. Even then it was pretty clear what industry I was headed for. I went to Loughborough Uni and got my master’s in Civil Engineering and Building in 1994. Since then I’ve qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Chartered Structural Engineer. I have worked at a number of places (Jacobs, Whitby Bird and Civic Engineers) before setting up Studio One in 2012. The business has really taken off and I’m enjoying working on a range of projects in various sectors including domestic, residential, rail, commercial, leisure, industrial and event engineering.

Klara Ludinova

After finishing my Master’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering at the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic in 2015, I moved to Manchester as there is no better place to start my engineering career than where the industrial revolution began. I joined Studio One in November 2015 and enjoy working on challenging, creative, fast paced projects, both short and long-term.

Enthusiastic. Check. Cheerful. Check. PGDip in BIM & Integrated Design. Check. Andy is a Senior BIM/CAD Technician and BIM Manager with over 20 years experience. Andy uses his engineering knowledge to develop design and details from concept through to construction, ensuring they are buildable, and presents technical complexity in clear graphical form. And then there is real ale, Star Wars and Iron Maiden.

Melony Pentreath

Commercial Director

Despite now being an accountant, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History of European Art & Architecture from the University of Leicester in 1998. Not knowing what to do next I set upon the path of becoming a chartered accountant, which I achieved in 2001. I’ve worked for a number of firms, including Ernst & Young and KPMG, and now work as Commercial Director alongside Jason where I enjoy mixing the number side of things with something a little more creative.
