We provided consultancy services on the exciting conversion of a 1883 Grade II listed church into a stunning single residence with accommodation over four levels. Our work included a structural survey of the church and undertaking due diligence, which included review of burial records, historical mapping, flood risk mapping, below ground services and logs from the British Geological Society. We enabled approvals for the works from various stakeholders, including the Church of England to facilitate the sale of the church to our private Client. Our structural design was developed to suit the specific conditions of the building and to avoid disturbing burials within the crypt and under the floor of the church generally.
