We carried out a structural survey on one of the most prominent addresses in Manchester, No. 1 Deansgate. This architectural landmark building, built in 2001, is 18 storeys high and has more than 80 apartments including stunning duplex and triplex penthouses. Maintenance of the exposed steel and glass structure has been a key issue since the building opened. Our work included undertaking a survey of the building with attention to targeting key areas, and reviewing archive information. Our advice was tailored to support development of a maintenance programme for the building and providing recommendations for remedial works. Our work was undertaken in conjunction with Civic Engineers.
