We are delighted to have advised on this exciting and challenging conversion of a Victorian semi-detached house in the heart of Chorlton, Manchester. This project is led by a passionate client seeking to complete the first passive house standard refurbishment in the North West.

We designed structural alterations including exposed timber and steel framing to replace key structural walls at ground floor level. The works have opened up the ground floor for modern living, and provided an open plan kitchen / dining room with a height of almost 4 metres. Structural detailing was carefully undertaken to suit rigorous thermal performance requirements to passive house standard.
